DREAM A LITTLE DREAM | BOOK REVIEW

Sunday 4 June 2017

I have been a big fan of Giovanna Fletcher for a while now. I have previously read her fictional romance Billy and Me and it's sequel Always With Love. I knew I had to read her other books, first on the agenda was Dream a little Dream.

About the author

Giovanna Fletcher is a British author, actress, public speaker and vlogger. She is also a wonderful mummy to two little boys, Buzz and Buddy and a beautiful wife to Tom Fletcher (vocalist and guitarist of McFly, author and vlogger also.

Plot - trying not to spoil too much

You learn about a woman named Sarah's current situation in her life, which is a little complicated with her ex very much still in her life and feels very much pressured to act as if she is okay with the situation and you learn very much how she copes in this sticky situation. Sarah also has some very exquisite romantic dreams about a boy, Brett, she knew from a while back, in which you adventure through them with her and he very much becomes a part of her life again. You get to meet Sarah's very tight-knit friendship group and very much learn how close they are when a situation occurs with Sarah's best friend Carly.

Rating /5

It is secretly a 4.5 but there were no half star symbols available sadly.

Why I fell in love with the book

Going through the ups and downs along with Sarah, it really seems like you are one of her best friends as if she is confiding in you with how she is feeling in that moment of time. You feel so involved in this book, gripping you in (not in the same way as a crime or drama novel would I have to say). You become so involved and wanting to know what happens next. Being a big fan of Romantic novels this was right up my alley, so if you are the same this will be your new favourite book. All my favourite's got a mention in the book too Michael Bublé, Jude Law and Billy Buskin (from Giovanna's previous novel, Billy and Me). If me staying up till 5am finishing the book because I was so gripped does not show you this is a good book then I don't know what will if I am honest. This book also, shows you how precious life is and teaches you that the chances of you being alive right now is very miniscule, I loved the way this was brought to light and how real it was.

What I didn't like about this book

Honestly, I don't have a fault with this book. If I do have one fault is that it finished and didn't keep going. I need a sequel, I need to know more. I need to know what happens next. Giovanna, a sequel?

Thank you for reading, what book have you recently read that you loved?
